Dear John and Ethan:
I've been meaning to write you a note for quite some time in appreciation for the work you've done on our home.
But, I'm glad I've waited because as time goes by, we are enjoying it more and more.
The boys' did such a great job. Any phone calls Roy made to John were promptly returned. Any questions we had were answered, right up to the information we needed at tax time, long after the job was completed.
We could plan on our day being started at 7 AM, sometimes before, on the days they promised to be here. Dependable almost to a fault. Talk about hard workers, taking breaks as scheduled with no slacking off. There was no sleeping for me. Ethan and Ehren were most frequently here, with of course "house wrecker" Mike as needed. The guys were gentlemen, through and through and fun too. They were careful moving things about, cleaned up behind themselves and were careful not to track dirt into the house. They even took care to be sure our beloved cats, Benny & Morris, did not escape to the great outdoors.
I enjoyed baking for them on a couple of occasions. I think they even liked my cookies.
We've noticed how much quieter and warmer the house seems with our new windows and siding. And our humble abode looks so much nicer.
We're anxious to add some landscaping this Spring, should it ever arrive.
Thanks, John, Ethan and crew, Ehren, Dave and Mike for a job well done. (And Cathy, too, of course) I feel we've made some new friends along with our old.
If anybody asks, we will certainly recommend W E Builders.

Dear John and Cathy
Today is Friday (mid January). I am sitting in my house looking out the living room windows facing west. Through these windows I have an expansive view of snow-covered trees, the waters of Green Bay, and the shoreline on the opposite side of the bay.
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with you, your staff, the architect you recommended, and the subcontractors you selected for this project. It has also been my privilege to meet and spend time with your family.
As you know, I purchased the property 14 years ago. Since then, from 500+miles away, I have been envisioning the house---how it would be placed on the site, and how I would be using the interior space. My goal was to build a relatively small house, retain as many trees as possible, and to be able to enjoy and experience the outdoors as much as possible during each season of the year. The House That John Built is that---and more.
· Your recommendation regarding the placement of the screened porch and deck allows me to have a “tree house” view of my surroundings from many rooms of the house during all seasons of the year.
· Your recommendations concerning trim and other inexpensive architectural details on the main level and on the lower level enhance the character of each room and the view from each window. Visitors to my house have commented on the architectural detail in all areas of the house and are impressed that the trim in the lower level rooms brings special characteristics to those areas.
· On site, during construction, I was graciously received by your staff and the subcontractors. I always felt that each worker was working at 100%+ to deliver the product and quality of work I had been promised.
· The quality of workmanship during all phases of the project was evident as we went along.
· You and your staff got back to me quickly when I had questions that required some research.
Due to my moving schedule I have been blessed with the opportunity to live in the house for a short period of time with just few possessions. I have been able to enjoy and explore the character and features of the house, absent of whatever other furniture and personal items I choose to add later on. At least once a day----especially in the evening around sunset----I walk through the house to enjoy the view of water, sunset and trees. The colors vary as the weather and cloud cover changes, so each evening brings a new experience.
Over the past eight years I have purchased several books on various topics relating to designing and building one’s own home. At least four of these books addressed the relationship between the owner, the contractor, and the architect and how to work with those parties. Those books turned out to be totally unnecessary, in fact, not even remotely relevant when I consider the working relationship that I feel you and the architect and I had developed.
I am so grateful that our mutual friends recommended you. I consider it a privilege to have worked with WEBuilders.

Dear John and Ethan,
Please use this letter to let other people know how much we enjoyed working with you on the outside remodel of our cottage in Door County.
You and Ethan, both, had great ideas about what materials to use to keep the authentic "cottage look". The materials will be long-lasting and maintenance free. You were very careful to make the new 10' X 12' storage shed match the original cottage design.
All the people who worked on the cottage were so nice and the site was cleaned up each day so we could still use the cottage during the six-week process of buuilding a new shed and re-siding the existing cottage. A custome painted shed door, wide white trim for the windows and the new white railings were welcome suggestins to complete the new look.
We are very satisfied customers and would be delighted to recommend your work to others.
Sincerely,
Mike and Barb Sweeney >> Click to see finished project |

Ethan:
Just a note of thanks for all your hard work in getting a crew together and doing it so well in building the ramp at my home. It was all a dream to begin with and now its reality! Its working so well for me and I can't believe the sense of freedom and security it gives me. So a heartfelt thank you for the donation of your time and talent.
God Bless You
Sincerely

Dear John:
I just wanted to inform you that Geri and I are extremely pleased with the Sun Room and Garden storage area that you built onto our home. It looks like it is part of the original house and adds to the overall ambience of our property. We could not have hired a better builder to do this job.
It was especially gratifying to coordinate the project with your carpenters who are not only quality craftsmen, but were very accommodating with the several requests I made for changes along the way. It was a very pleasant experience. I sincerely appreciate the "can do" attitude of Ethan, Dave and Aaron, and their patience with me.
This is the third time we have worked with your firm and each time the outcome has met or exceeded our expectations. W E Builders is truly one of the top contractors in Door County. I have recommended your company to other people before and I will continue to do so.
Thank you for another job well done.
Sincerely,
Ronald C. Halverson >> Click to see finished project |
